About Rashmi Ghosh

Rashmi Ghosh, a Chartered Accountant by profession, transitioned from a successful career in finance to pursue her lifelong passion for visual arts, accumulating over two decades of experience in teaching. Having undertaken a Fine Arts course during weekends, she received instruction in watercolors from renowned artist Milind Mullick and other masters of the art.

An emerging artist poised to launch her art career; Rashmi has already left a notable mark on the art scene. Her artistic endeavors have been showcased in over ten group exhibitions across India, an International Solo Show in Malaga, Spain, and the International Virtual Art Exhibition titled "Opening," curated by Sergio Gomez in Florida, USA.

Presently, Rashmi's artistry is on display at The India Art Architecture and Design Biennale 2023 at the Red Fort, Delhi, curated by Vikramjit Singh Rooprai and Dr. Abira Bhattacharya. This exhibition, a flagship project by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, features four works from her series "Descent into India’s Incredible Stepwells."

Her professional art journey commenced with her membership in ArtNext Level, led by Sergio Gomez. She was subsequently selected for a two-year mentorship program, Emerging Indian Artists, from 2019 to 2022, under the auspices of Kalanirvana International Art Center.

Currently engrossed in a research-based art project titled "Descent into India’s Incredible Stepwells," Rashmi is preparing for a Solo Art Exhibition scheduled for 2024 in Pune, Maharashtra—her native city. This exhibition will be curated by Nalini Malaviya. Notably, Rashmi is collaborating with Bharatnatyam dancer Veena Bhatt on this project, exploring the essence of hymns to rivers through classical dance forms of India.
